National Hydrology Project Organized a Consultation workshop

Today, National Hydrology Project (NHP) has completed three years. To celebrate it, a One Day Consultation Session was organized under the Chairmanship of Secretary, DoWR, RD & GR, with Principal Secretaries/ Secretaries/ Head of the organisations of Implementing Agencies to discuss the progress so far. The event commenced at 9.00 AM in Hotel Shangri La's Eros, Ashoka Road.
The Consultation session was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Ministry of Jal Shakti. Hon'ble Minister of State Shri Ratan Lal Kataria also graced the occasion apart from various higher officials of Ministries, Central Water Commission, Central Ground Water Board, Pr. Secretaries/ Secretaries and HOD of participating IAs. During the inauguration, the new portal of India Water Resource Information System was also launched.
The project was initiated three years back, in 2016, by Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, RD & GR, Govt of India with support from World Bank. It was implemented through 49 State & Central Implementing Agencies (IAs). Under the project, a 100% grant is being provided to the IAs.
